LYRICAL + CONTEMPORARY: (Teen, Ages 13-18)

In our lyrical and contemporary combination dance class for teens, students ages 13-18 will explore concepts such as contraction and release, fall and recovery, improvisation, partnering, and floor work. Through guided exercises and combinations, students will develop their technical skills while also focusing on artistic expression and interpretation. They will be encouraged to experiment with different qualities of movement, explore their emotions, and tell stories through their dance. Our dance class offers a supportive and inspiring environment where young dancers can refine their technical skills, explore their artistic voices and develop their own unique movement style. The instructor will provide personalized feedback and guidance, encouraging students to embrace their strengths, challenge themselves, and discover new possibilities within the realm of contemporary dance. Students should wear any color leotard and black shorts or tights; hair must be secured off the face in a neat ponytail.
